Jorge Muslera, a 40-year-old Uruguayan goalkeeper who played in five World Cups, saved three penalty kicks to help Estudiantes de La Plata overcome defending champion Flamengo and advance to the Copa Libertadores final. After two goalless draws, Estudiantes won the shootout 3-2 despite being reduced to 10 men when Baltasar Rodríguez was sent off in the 50th minute. The Argentine club will face Palmeiras in the final at Uruguay’s Centenario Stadium on November 28, aiming to break Brazil's seven-year winning streak in South America’s premier club competition. Estudiantes' squad is valued at just over $61 million compared to Flamengo’s much higher valuation.
