Haeran Ryu took a two-stroke lead after the second round of the LPGA South Korea tournament on Friday, shooting an 8-under-par 64 to reach a total score of 13-under 131 at Pine Beach links in Gwangju, South Korea. She had two eagles and birdied her final two holes. In second place were Minsum Kim and American Lauren Coughlin, each with a score of 6-under after their respective rounds of 64 and 66. European Solheim Cup player Julia Lopez Ramirez was tied for fourth at 5-under along with Karis Davidson from Australia, who had shot the first-round lead but dropped slightly to a second-round total of 68. Defending champion Sei Young Kim, who ended her five-year victory drought last year in South Korea, currently sits at 5-under after her round of 67. The tournament is part of the LPGA's late-season Asian swing, with the next event scheduled for the Maybank Championship in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
