Shell plc announced on September 14, 2026, that it had purchased shares for cancellation as part of its existing share buy-back programme. This programme was previously announced on July 30, 2026, and involves both on- and off-market transactions in accordance with the UK Listing Rules and Article 5 of the Market Abuse Regulation (MAR). Goldman Sachs International will make trading decisions for this programme independently from Shell plc between July 30, 2026, and October 23, 2026. The programme adheres to rules established by the European Union's MAR and its "onshored" equivalent in UK law post-Brexit, adjusted through various legislative acts including the Financial Services Act of 2021.
