Two gunmen, one with a rifle and another with a pistol, fired on dozens of attendees for several minutes before fleeing. Security forces had been deployed but failed to prevent the attack; no claim of responsibility was made and authorities are investigating. This incident is unusual for Jordan, which has generally maintained stability despite recent tensions due to US-Israeli strikes against Iran earlier this year.
