As of October 27, a 15-year-old, Anthony Rivers III, was arrested in connection with a shooting near Florida A&M University's Bragg Memorial Stadium during homecoming celebrations. The incident left 12 people injured, including six children, and occurred shortly before 8 PM on Saturday night following a football game. Eleven victims were struck by gunfire; one person remained in critical condition while eight others were stable. Rivers faces charges of attempted second-degree murder and possession of a firearm by a delinquent, with state attorney Jack Campbell stating he would be tried as an adult. Police indicated the shooting followed a physical altercation between individuals known to each other, but no arrests had been made until Sunday when Rivers was apprehended.
