Delaware voters elected leaders for federal, state, and other offices on November 5, 2024. The Associated Press provided vote results and declared winners in races for U.S. Senate, U.S. House, attorney general, state Senate, state House, state auditor, and state treasurer. Polls closed at 8 p.m. ET. About 497,000 votes were cast in the 2022 race for Delaware’s at-large U.S. House seat, with about 24% of those votes cast early or by absentee ballot.
All three Delaware counties released results from early voting before releasing any results from Election Day voting. The first results of the election were reported starting at 8:29 p.m. ET, 29 minutes after polls closed. By 8:59 p.m. ET, the state had reached 50% of votes reporting, and by 9:57 p.m. ET, it had reached 90%. A candidate for statewide office can apply for a recount if the margin between them and their closest opponent is fewer than 1,000 votes or less than 0.5% of the sum of both candidates' votes, whichever is smaller.
