Story summary

Since becoming a minority shareholder at Manchester United (Man Utd), Sir Jim Ratcliffe has attended several games, but his presence has been mixed for the team. In January 2026, he was there when Man Utd beat Manchester City 2-0 in Carrick’s first game as manager. However, in March of the same year, Ratcliffe watched Man Utd lose 2-1 to Newcastle at St James’ Park. Under pressure, Michael Carrick might view Ratcliffe's attendance as a bad omen. Despite this, Ratcliffe was also present for Man Utd's FA Cup victory over Coventry City and their subsequent triumph against Manchester City in the final. Overall, since his involvement, Man Utd has won only two out of four games he attended, with three losses and one draw.
