Yamaha has withdrawn its MotoGP team from next weekend's race in Qatar, citing safety concerns related to "the situation in the Middle East." The decision was announced on Sunday after the Malaysian Grand Prix. Yamaha stated it did not identify sufficient grounds to change its existing company-wide travel restrictions, which currently apply to the entire region. MotoGP expressed disappointment with Yamaha’s announcement and noted that this non-participation carries sporting implications. Despite consultations with Qatar, the Lusail International Circuit, independent safety advisers, and its own risk assessment process, MotoGP maintains there are no current plans to alter the event scheduled from November 3-5 at the Lusail International Circuit outside Doha.
