Cameron Carr, a 21-year-old rookie shooting guard acquired by the Lakers from the Knicks after New York selected him with the 24th overall pick in the 2026 draft, has been taken off the Lakers' injury report ahead of their game against the Raptors on Sunday. Carr had missed all six of the Lakers’ games this season due to a strained right oblique. His potential debut could come at an opportune time for the Lakers' struggling bench unit that was outscored 50-7 by Golden State's reserves in LA’s recent loss to the Warriors.
Carr showed promise during his first exhibition game with the Lakers, scoring 19 points against the Kings on October 5. Last season at Baylor, Carr averaged a team-high 18.9 points per game while shooting 49.4% from the field and adding 5.8 rebounds and 2.6 assists.
The Lakers (4-2) face the Raptors on Sunday followed by the Heat on Monday. Additionally, Ziaire Williams (left foot injury) is questionable for Sunday’s game, with Adou Thiero (left knee injury management) remaining out of action.
