Story summary

President Donald Trump held rallies in Kansas and Iowa on October 30, 2026, after initially canceling them due to criticism from a reporter over small crowd sizes during his campaign events. The decision came just days before the November 3 midterm elections as Democrats had questioned his previous telerallies' effectiveness. This reversal followed significant early voter turnout increases in competitive Senate race states like Kansas and Iowa. Trump’s final rallies were aimed at boosting Republican candidates’ chances of retaining power in Congress.
