Former Bachelor star Sam Wood's bid for bail was denied again by the Queensland Supreme Court on October 30, meaning he remains behind bars. Wood was arrested on October 3 after allegedly strangling and assaulting his wife Snezana during a holiday in Noosa, Queensland. Despite his lawyer Paula Morreau arguing that Wood had no history of domestic violence and usually avoided confrontation to manage his anger issues, Justice Peter McCafferty ruled that the risk of reoffending was too high for bail to be granted. The court also heard allegations about Wood's "party lifestyle" and drug use, which his legal team denied. Wood will now appeal this decision. His next hearing is scheduled sometime between mid-2027 and early 2028.
