Samira, an Iranian woman whose only child Sevda was killed by security forces during protests against Iran's repressive regime earlier this year, is now seeking justice and accountability from abroad where she lives in hiding. Sevda, a sixteen-year-old protester, was shot dead while participating in demonstrations that swept across the country. Samira, who previously worked in sales selling cosmetics, turned to activism after her daughter’s death when Iranian authorities hindered her efforts to find Sevda's body and subsequently harassed her. She fled Iran on foot through dangerous mountainous terrain and now aims to name those responsible for firing fatal shots during the protests. The BBC Panorama documentary highlights how ordinary Iranians have been affected by a year of widespread protests, crackdowns, and war involving the US and Israel, which also led to the death of Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
