On November 2, 2026, rookie Yaxel Lendeborg scored a career-high 37 points and dished out six assists in the Golden State Warriors' 124-112 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers. This performance was particularly notable as it marked the most points by a Warriors rookie since Stephen Curry's debut of 42 points on April 14, 2010. Lendeborg joined Hall of Famers Wilt Chamberlain and Rick Barry in achieving this feat within their first seven games. Despite his stellar performance, Lendeborg admitted that he felt peer pressure to score more points, coming close but falling short of the 40-point mark due to teammate encouragement during the final minutes of the game.
