Story summary

On November 3, 2026, during the US midterm elections, President Donald Trump, aged 80, criticized Fox News on his Truth Social platform. He accused a female host, Jessica Tarlov, of being "DUMB AS A ROCK" and vowed to watch elsewhere until she was off the air, citing her voice as intolerable. Additionally, he blamed Fox's declining ratings on their lack of loyalty towards him, asserting that they were down by 27%. Trump's criticism came shortly before polls closed, adding to speculation about the Republican party’s chances in retaining control of Congress. His posts also included attacking a Fox poll, calling it "always the worst." The election results would determine whether Republicans could maintain their congressional majority, shaping the latter half of Trump’s second term.
