On November 3, 2026, Abdul El-Sayed, a Democratic candidate for the Senate in Michigan, had confrontations with both Fox News’ Bret Baier and Sky News correspondent James Matthews during interviews. In one heated exchange, El-Sayed put his hands on Matthews' shoulders and told him to "stop chasing me around" when asked about the impact of U.S. elections on the rest of the world. El-Sayed also dismissed Matthews by saying he wanted “zero” votes from the UK and claimed that only "like five people watch Sky News." Matthews responded, stating that El-Sayed has a responsibility to provide trust for an international audience given America's global influence.
