Between September 15 and 17, security forces in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa region killed 10 terrorists, according to the military’s media wing ISPR. The operations targeted areas including North Waziristan and Hangu, where six suspected militants were killed in an intense firefight, and another four died in a separate clash. Additionally, on September 17, an improvised explosive device (IED) attack on a security forces convoy in Hangu resulted in the deaths of six soldiers. The ISPR identified some of the slain terrorists as part of Fitna al-Khawarij, which Pakistan labels as Indian-sponsored and aligned with the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
