CJ Abrams joined the 30-30 club on Friday night when he hit his 30th home run and stole his 30th base during the Washington Nationals' 9-1 victory over the St. Louis Cardinals in St. Louis. Abrams became just the second player in Nationals history, after Alfonso Soriano in 2006, to achieve this rare feat. The game also featured Cade Cavalli throwing his 200th strikeout of the season and recording a six-strikeout performance while allowing only four hits over five innings. This milestone came shortly after Cavalli signed a lucrative four-year, $47 million contract extension with the Nationals. Abrams' RBI single in the first inning set up two runs and his stolen base extended to third on an error by Cardinals catcher Leo Bernal, allowing another run to score. The Nationals added four more runs in the third inning via solo home runs and a double, securing their victory over the Cardinals.
