Hong Kong's Transport Chief Mable Chan announced on Saturday that Guangdong-registered yachts will be allowed to sail in Hong Kong waters starting from October, as part of efforts outlined in the city’s latest policy address and five-year plan. The initiative, aimed at boosting cross-border leisure spending and supporting Hong Kong’s yacht economy, follows ongoing discussions between Hong Kong's Transport and Logistics department and the Guangdong Maritime Safety Administration. Secretary Chan stated that further details would be released soon after the planned rollout.
