The Dallas Cowboys secured a significant NFC East victory over the Washington Commanders with a final score of 37-20 on Sunday. However, during the game, cornerback Cobie Durant faced an unfortunate incident when teammate Markquese Bell stepped on his buttocks and groin while he was on the ground, causing him severe pain. Durant had been defending against Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin in the end zone when the injury occurred.
Durant, who signed a one-year deal worth $4 million with Dallas during the offseason after playing for the Los Angeles Rams for four seasons, left the game and did not return due to the pain. Despite the setback, the Cowboys maintained their strong performance by limiting the Commanders to just 10 points in the second half as quarterback Jayden Daniels sustained a dislocated elbow.
