South Korea has become a significant supplier of jet fuel to Europe, exporting 129,000 barrels per day in September, which is the highest level since October 2022. This increase comes as Europe faces a severe deficit in jet fuel supply for the fourth quarter, expected to reach 510,000 barrels per day according to energy consultancy Energy Aspects. In contrast, the United States and Asia-Pacific are projected to have surpluses of 18,000 and 419,000 barrels, respectively. The heightened supply risk for Europe is exacerbated by tensions in the Middle East, further emphasizing South Korea's role as a crucial supplier amid these challenges.
