Rudakubana, who was given a life sentence for murdering three children and attempting to murder eight other children and two adults in a Taylor Swift-themed dance class on July 29, 2024, is set to appear via video link at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Monday. The court documents show that Rudakubana has been charged with attempting to cause grievous bodily harm in May 2025, assaulting an emergency worker in October 2025, and possessing an offensive weapon in prison in June 2025. It is alleged that the weapon he possessed was stone shards. Offenders like Rudakubana who present a high risk due to mental disorders are moved to secure psychiatric units such as Broadmoor, located in Berkshire, where they are treated as patients rather than prisoners. Broadmoor has housed notorious criminals including Ronnie Kray and Peter Sutcliffe.
