A hot pink 3D-printed gun was seized by police in Augustine Heights, south of Brisbane, during a raid where officers also confiscated ammunition, drugs, and drug paraphernalia. Senior Sergeant Michelle Blaney stated that the weapon was designed to look like a popular children's toy and is part of an increasing trend of illegal firearm production at home. The 38-year-old woman from Springfield Lakes arrested in connection with this raid faces multiple charges including possession of dangerous drugs and a category D/H/R weapon, which includes handguns. She will appear before the Ipswich Magistrates Court on October 7. Police are urging anyone with information about private firearms manufacturing to contact Crime Stoppers at 1800 333 000.
