Shaun Edwards, a highly decorated rugby coach, has joined England women's team (Red Roses) in a short-term consultancy role. He will work alongside Sarah Hunter, the current Red Roses defence coach, for the remainder of their WXV Global Series matches, which begins with a game against New Zealand at Allianz Stadium on Saturday. Edwards recently left his position as France men's defence coach after winning three Six Nations titles. This move comes following England’s recent 39-match win streak ending in a draw with Canada last weekend. English head coach John Mitchell expressed that Edwards has shown interest in working within an international women's setup for the first time and sees it as a privilege to join their team environment due to his respect for what they stand for.
