ICE officer shoots delivery driver in Texas

A U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officer shot and wounded a Venezuelan man during an operation in Austin, Texas, on Sunday afternoon. The victim was taken to a hospital where he is currently in serious but stable condition with a bullet lodged in his back; supporters say he needs urgent surgery to avoid losing feeling on the left side of his body. Austin city leaders and Democratic officials are demanding a full independent investigation into the incident, including immediate release of body camera footage. A federal judge has temporarily blocked the man's deportation while authorities investigate the shooting. The incident has sparked protests across Austin, with students from local schools walking out to demonstrate against ICE actions.
