Hungarian authorities fined MOL Petrochemicals, a subsidiary of the energy company MOL Group, on Tuesday for safety violations linked to an explosion that occurred at their chemical plant in Tiszaújváros in May. The incident resulted in one worker's death and several injuries. Following an investigation, Hungary’s occupational safety authority ordered MOL Petrochemicals to pay a fine of 38 million forints, equivalent to approximately $120,000, due to inadequate safety measures at the plant site.
