Shell plc announced on September 21, 2026 that it had purchased shares for cancellation as part of its existing share buy-back programme. The company’s decision to repurchase these shares is in compliance with UK Listing Rules and Article 5 of the Market Abuse Regulation (EU MAR) since the end of the Brexit transition period on December 31, 2020. Goldman Sachs International will independently make trading decisions related to Shell's securities from July 30, 2026, up until October 23, 2026. This buy-back programme is divided into two parts: on-market and off-market limbs, each operating under specific parameters approved by shareholders. The programme adheres to both UK Listing Rules and the “onshored” EU MAR regulations as amended by recent UK legislation such as the Financial Services Act, 2021.
