Ricardo Pepi, a 23-year-old striker for PSV Eindhoven, was supposed to join the U.S. men's national team (USMNT) in Georgia but is now recovering from an injury in Eindhoven, Netherlands. He was substituted early during PSV’s match against FC Twente and described his absence as a “minor setback.” Pepi’s club did not specify how long he would be out, with PSV's next scheduled game on October 9th against Heerenveen. The USMNT replaced him with Damion Downs, an attacker from St. Louis City SC. The team is set to play four friendlies in September and October against Peru, Chile, Mexico, and Canada.
