A Croatian court has approved the extradition of a Ukrainian man to Germany, who is suspected of involvement in the 2022 undersea explosions that damaged the Nord Stream gas pipelines. The suspect, identified by German prosecutors as Vladimir Z., was arrested in Pula, Croatia, while reportedly working on a Hollywood dramatization of the attack. His lawyer, Ljubo Pavasovic Viskovic, stated he will appeal the court’s decision made on September 18, meaning it is unclear when or if the extradition will occur. The explosions destroyed three out of four pipelines in an event that occurred during Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine and at a time when Europe aimed to reduce its reliance on Russian energy sources.
