Taylor Swift, aged 36, broke Spotify's record as the most-streamed female artist in a single day with her release of Patient Zero on Friday. She also released four additional tracks as part of Life Of A Showgirl: The Encore, further solidifying this achievement. This new music marks Swift's first since her marriage to NFL star Travis Kelce at New York’s Madison Square Garden in July. One track, titled "Cleveland!", directly addresses critics of their relationship and references the city where Kelce grew up.
However, the expanded album received mixed reviews from critics; while The Telegraph, The Independent, and The Guardian gave it two stars, criticizing Swift's self-promotion efforts, The Times offered four stars, praising her ability to transform personal details into accessible pop music. Despite the critical reception, Swift’s streaming numbers demonstrate a significant fan base engagement with her new work.
