Saskatchewan celebrated its 16th year of Culture Days, a cultural movement that originated in Quebec in 2009. This year, the event is taking place across 45 hubs throughout the province, offering free events such as workshops, open mics, and shows. Dean Kush, CEO of SaskCultures and a board member for Culture Days nationally, emphasized how important cultural engagement is to local communities. He noted that people in Saskatchewan particularly value celebrating community history and individual artists. The Art Gallery of Regina has been part of the event since its inception and is now showcasing new work from Saskatchewan artists in an exhibition called "The Fashion Show," which includes pieces by two debut gallery artists.
