Max Verstappen, a Formula 1 driver for Red Bull Racing, aims to secure at least one race victory before the end of the 2026 season, as he faces the prospect of having a winless year since his rookie season in 2015. Despite recent improvements, Red Bull continues to struggle against Mercedes at the front of the field. Verstappen expressed disappointment after narrowly missing out on winning by less than two tenths of a second during the Azerbaijan Grand Prix. He currently sits sixth in the standings with significantly fewer points compared to leader Kimi Antonelli. The Malaysian race, branded as the Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia, marks F1's return since 2017 and is one of eight remaining races scheduled for this year.
