WNBA superstar Caitlin Clark will not participate in the LPGA's pro-am event for the first time since her appearances in 2024 and 2025. Mike Nichols, chief of sponsorship strategy and activation for Group 1001, confirmed to Golfweek that Clark will be absent from this year’s tournament at The Annika at Pelican Golf Club, which is set to take place from November 12-15 in Belleair, Florida. Her previous appearances brought significant attention and media coverage; last year, for instance, the event was highlighted with a three-hour program on The Golf Channel. Additionally, Clark's teammates Sophie Cunningham and Lexie Hull joined her as celebrity caddies, further increasing public interest. Clark had previously paired up with golf star Nelly Korda during these events, fostering a strong professional relationship between them.
