Erling Haaland, a star soccer player for Manchester City and the Norwegian national team, is suing Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA over an advertisement that featured his now-cut hairstyle superimposed onto one of their airplanes. The airline captioned the image, "We've never felt more Norwegian," during the World Cup but later deleted it after facing backlash. A lawsuit was filed by Haaland and York Promotions Ltd., alleging a violation of Norway's Marketing Act. The case will be heard in Oslo on October 9. Norwegian spokesperson Eivind Hammer Myhre said, "We do not understand why we have been taken to court," while emphasizing their support for the national team during international competitions.
