Story summary

Jonathan V. Last discusses the contrasting interviews given by JD Vance and Donald Trump, highlighting their divergent perspectives. Trump's Department of Justice is reportedly seeking to investigate the prosecutors from the Watergate era rather than Nixon himself, a move criticized as absurd. Meanwhile, JD Vance, a politician often seen as part of the establishment compared to Trump’s outsider persona, appears to be operating in a different reality within politics. The piece also mentions upcoming events like Bulwark LIVE featuring Pete Buttigieg and others on October 18 for an exclusive members-only live stream starting at 7pm EDT.
