In South Australia's Mid North region, Australian Federal Police (AFP) and local SA Police searched a home and arrested a 34-year-old man over alleged online threats last month. The arrest followed the referral of several social media posts to the AFP's National Security Investigations team by SA Police. Charged with using a carriage service to menace, harass, or cause offence under the Commonwealth Criminal Code, the man faces a maximum penalty of five years in prison. During his court appearance on Friday, bail was refused, and he is scheduled to appear again at the Adelaide Magistrates Court on November 5.
