In the third and final One Day International (ODI) match between India and West Indies on Saturday in Chandigarh, Shubman Gill won a consecutive toss for India and chose to bat first. Despite India’s earlier 2-0 lead from wins in Thiruvananthapuram and Guwahati, West Indies staged an impressive comeback. Captain Shai Hope scored an unbeaten 162 runs, leading his team to achieve their highest ODI run-chase score of 352-5, winning the match by five wickets with 10 balls remaining. India had posted a total of 351-7, highlighted by Lokesh Rahul's impressive 129 not out. West Indies made three lineup changes due to injuries, and this was the first ODI match held at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Chandigarh, making it the 52nd venue in India to host an ODI match.
