On Thursday afternoon, six-year-old Harrison Glynne Jones was killed when he was struck by a white Ford Transit Tipper truck just steps from his home in Llanfairfechan, north Wales. Harrison had asked to go for a bike ride shortly after dinner and fell into the road while mounting his bicycle. His father, Daryl, rushed to help but Harrison could not be saved at the scene.
The incident occurred on Mill Road, where North Wales Police arrested a 39-year-old man on suspicion of driving offenses before releasing him under investigation pending further enquiries. A GoFundMe page set up by family member Kate Jones had raised over £15,000 as of Saturday morning to assist Harrison's parents and cover funeral expenses.
Harrison is remembered as "a cheeky, beautiful little boy who made everyone smile" with a big heart and full of character. The fundraiser aims to provide financial support for the family during their bereavement period.
