Quick Summary

Tyson Fury plans to invite former US President Donald Trump to lead his ring walk before his heavyweight boxing match against Anthony Joshua in Cardiff on December 11. The pair met earlier this year when Trump hosted a UFC event at the White House, and Fury has referred to Trump as an "old pal." While Fury acknowledges it's unlikely due to Trump’s current situation, he sees the upcoming bout with Joshua as preparation for a rematch against Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk, whom he lost to in 2024.

Story summary

Tyson Fury, the former heavyweight boxing champion, plans to invite US President Donald Trump to lead his ring walk before his upcoming fight against fellow British boxer Anthony Joshua at Cardiff's Principality Stadium on December 11. The 38-year-old fighter met with Trump at the White House in June during UFC Freedom 250 and wore a cap saying "Donald Trump for Prime Minister" when his US travel ban was lifted by the then-80-year-old president. Fury said he would extend an offer to "his old buddy," though it's probably unlikely due to Trump's current situation as a former president. The fight is seen as preparation for Fury’s third bout with unbeaten Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk in New York.
