On Tuesday at 5:20pm, security staff at One Madison, a residential building on Castle Peak Road in Cheung Sha Wan, Hong Kong, reported an unusual odour from a flat where the occupants had not been seen for some time. Authorities responded to this report and found an 81-year-old man dead inside the bathroom of the apartment. His 73-year-old wife, who was found in a semi-conscious state in the kitchen area, was taken to Caritas Medical Centre for medical treatment. Firefighters were called to force entry into the flat due to the smell and lack of response from the residents.
