DonnaJean Wilde, a 61-year-old grandmother of 12 from Alberta, Canada, broke the world record for longest female abdominal plank by holding it for five hours at the Huntsman World Senior Games in Utah on October 4, 2026. She surpassed her own previous record set on March 21, 2024, which was four hours, 30 minutes, and 11 seconds. Wilde began planking after breaking her wrist in 2013 as a way to stay active during recovery. The current record requires the participant's forearms and toes to touch the ground at all times with the body kept straight throughout.
