During the third practice for the Bathurst 1000 race on Friday morning, Kiwi driver Ryan Wood and his teammate Tony D'Alberto crashed heavily into a barrier at Mount Panorama Circuit in Australia. The crash subjected Wood to an astonishing 42G impact. Meanwhile, Cooper Murray and Lochie Dalton's Chevrolet number 99 car for Erebus Motorsport continued their strong form by topping the time sheets during this session, just as they did on Thursday. Qualifying is scheduled to start at 4:10pm AEDT with the top 10 teams advancing directly to a shootout round on Saturday morning while others will set grid positions from 11th onwards later that day.
