On October 8, 2026, Oscar Belgal, a 28-year-old Dominican national with criminal history, was shot by ICE agents in New York City's Marble Hill neighborhood while his five-year-old son was present. The shooting occurred around 4 p.m. when ICE officers approached Belgal’s SUV and drew their weapons; Belgal then attempted to drive away, leading to the confrontation and subsequent shooting.
