Timothy Blamires, a 33-year-old former teacher at Kingswood Primary School in Dingley Village, Melbourne, appeared in court facing multiple charges related to secretly filming over 350 children without their consent. The alleged incidents took place between October 2025 and April 2026 when Blamires allegedly hid spy cameras inside fragrance dispensers in the school's male toilets. Initially charged with five offenses, he now faces a total of 16 charges after police discovered evidence showing he filmed 34 children on October 13, over 188 more a week later, and another 60 on October 22, with an additional batch of 75 recorded in March. A cleaner found the hidden camera while replacing a fragrance dispenser on April 28, leading to Blamires' arrest at the school. The case has sparked significant concern among parents and highlights severe breaches of trust within educational institutions.
