RETN, one of the world’s largest network service providers headquartered in Britain, has launched a new subsea cable route between Taipei and Hong Kong to mitigate ongoing disruptions and accommodate increasing data demands. This move brings RETN's total number of routes serving Taiwan to six: four connecting Taipei with Hong Kong and two linking Taipei to Tokyo. The new underwater network path aims to enhance stability in the region’s internet infrastructure, which has been frequently affected by cable interruptions around the island.
