In a crackdown against organized crime in Hong Kong, police dismantled a suspected prostitution ring involving Thai women, arresting seven men, ages 44 to 54, for human trafficking and money laundering activities. The force seized HK$13 million (US$1.66 million) in cash and froze an additional HK$5 million in crime proceeds linked to the syndicate's operations. Four core members of the ring, including three brothers from Hong Kong and one Thai national, were arrested on suspicion of human trafficking, living off prostitution earnings, promoting prostitution, and money laundering. The operation also led to the arrest of nine Thai women between ages 19 and 33, who were allegedly working as sex workers in violation of their visa conditions in Tsim Sha Tsui district.
