A 30-year-old man survived a near-fatal shooting outside a nightclub in Bexleyheath, London. The incident occurred in January when he was shot at point-blank range with a converted starter pistol just below his eye; another bullet was lodged in his spine. Police connected the shooting to a minor altercation inside the club, where the victim's group was attacked as they left the venue.
Marvin Bulle, 33, and Carlos Parks, 35, were recently sentenced to a combined total of 55 years in prison for their roles in the attack. CCTV footage showed Bulle retrieving an item from his car that he later used to shoot the victim twice at close range.
Detective Inspector Raymond Sekalongo from the Met Police’s Trident unit highlighted the seriousness of the incident, stating it could have easily resulted in death.
