Story summary

Shane Gillis, who previously faced controversy for using racial slurs in old videos, hosted Saturday Night Live (SNL) on October 11, marking his third appearance as host. During the show, Gillis accidentally dropped an F-bomb while performing a Dr. Seuss-inspired sketch, causing both audience and cast to burst into laughter. The incident occurred when Gillis was playing Zachary, tasked with stopping Andrew Dismukes' character Sam-I-Am from pestering his father's character Mikey Day about green eggs and ham. Despite the on-air gaffe, Gillis quickly apologized for the mistake. Viewers could watch the episode live at 11:30 p.m. ET or use services like DIRECTV’s five-day free trial to stream it without cable subscription fees.
