Chris Brooks, the Green Bay Packers' running back, was placed on injured reserve due to an ankle injury. The move requires him to miss at least the next four games following his injury during a 17-14 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the second quarter. In that game, Brooks rushed for 30 yards on four carries before being sidelined. This season, he has accumulated 70 rushing yards on 15 attempts. The Packers have since signed running back Pierre Strong Jr., who previously played for the New England Patriots and Cleveland Browns, to their active roster from their practice squad. Strong has a career total of 499 rushing yards and two touchdowns across 99 carries.
