Three Indian nationals—Shri Sahil Sandhu, Shri Ashwini Kumar, and Shri Harman Singh—were rescued from the MV Royad Mammadov, a Turkish-owned cargo ship that was attacked in the Black Sea near Romania’s territorial waters on Monday. The vessel had been carrying corn from Ukraine's Izmail port to Ravenna in Italy when it was struck. The three Indians sustained injuries but survived and received medical care at a hospital in Constanta, Romania. They departed for India on Saturday with assistance from the Indian embassy in Bucharest and local Romanian authorities. Two other seafarers were killed during the attack, though their nationalities are not specified.
