On Sunday, intercity bus services from Lahore to various destinations across Pakistan were suspended after the city administration reportedly sealed all general bus terminals late Saturday night, leaving passengers stranded and disrupting travel. The closures affected routes to Islamabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, southern Punjab, and central Punjab. Major private operators like Faisal Movers and Daewoo also halted services due to restrictions on public transport movement on motorways and national highways. However, the motorway police spokesperson Imran Shah stated that motorways and highways remained open to traffic, though an anonymous official said buses were not operating due to the PTI’s protest call.
